Walking Dead Zombie Preview

If you are a prepper, you like Doomsday Preppers and you are not watching the “The Walking Dead” on AMC, you are missing out.  While a Walking Dead zombie is not as scary as a desperate gang of marauders, these folks have to face survival in a world of very few.
For those who have not experienced a Walking Dead zombie a little background is required.  The general idea is a virus is running rampant and when folks die, they become zombies.
Throughout Season 1 it was believed that if you were bit by one, you would die and become a zombie.  However, towards the end of Season 1 you find what really creates a Walking Dead zombie (I won’t ruin it here for those that want to get caught up).  Check out Season 1 on iTunes or OnDemand.
Season 3 continues this Sunday at 9:00pm on AMC.   The first 8 episodes ran through the end of November to a nice little cliffhanger.

Survivalists Collide

Two worlds collide when Rick’s group is infiltrated and Glen and Maggie are taken hostage by the Governor (another larger group of survivors that have built a nice little town).  There is a great scene where Glen is forced to take on a Walking Dead zombie while tied to a chair.  Must see TV.

Rick and Darryl go to rescue them but, in the fray, Darryl is taken hostage and is reunited with his brother Merle (long story).

Merle had been living with the Governors’ group and now his loyalties are being questioned.  Season 3 takes its’ break teasing a brother vs. brother fight to the death to appease the Governor, who is about to get a lot darker.
The series has tons of stories lines and an underlying prepper theme that is sure to entertain AND spark ideas.  While a zombie apocalypse might not be the SHTF event you are planning for, bit if you haven’t seen it yet, I highly encourage you to give a shot.

Survive A Zombie Apocalypse

Sports fans, the Walking Dead has quite a following from athletes. In fact, former Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward will be a Walking Dead zombie this season.  More to follow for sure.
If you want to get caught up, AMC is running Seasons 2 and 3 Saturday beginning at 11:30pm ET.  Season 3 begins on Sunday at 1:00pm ET.  Enjoy!
Remember, The Walking Dead Season 3 continues at 9:00pm ET on AMC Sunday night.  Can’t wait.
